On Sunday, July 20, 2025, the Coverity on Polaris SaaS production systems will be upgraded to version 2025.6.0 during a scheduled maintenance window of 9am to 3pm Eastern Time.

What’s new?

  • Support for Coverity version 2025.6.0 with the following updates:

    • C# 13

    • Go 1.24

    • Java 24

    • Clang 19

    • Oracle JDK 24

    • OpenJDK 24



  • Checker updates as part of Coverity 2025.6.0

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Please see below for important information related to the next release 2025.9.0:

    • With the release of 2025.9.0, Coverity on Polaris will be updating backend APIs for the reporting platform (cop.blackduck.com/reporting) to convert any SOAP Coverity-related APIs to REST. This update will impact functionality in the reporting platform which will require user action.

    • Customers using the reporting platform to run reports against Coverity on-prem issues must plan to do the following:

      1. upgrade Coverity 2025.6.0 or newer

      2. upgrade the Coverity on-prem CIM agent to 2025.9.0



    • There will be no impact to existing data. However, if not upgraded, the CIM agent will not be able to push new data to the reporting platform





Black Duck Migration Updates
- Customers must have migrated their Coverity on Polaris instance to the Black Domain by September 1, 2025 in order to avoid loss of access to their instance and disruption to their workflows using Coverity on Polaris. Migration instructions can be found here.

    • Synopsys Coverity on Polaris Jenkins plugin v1.4.0 or older

    • Coverity 2024.6.0

    • Go 1.22

    • LLVM Clang 9.0

    • Oracle JDK 23

    • OpenJDK 23
